Meet the Poet Babies - Jack

After reviewing my balance sheet, I thought I had ridden my stock to the top.  I worked my way through a number of corporations, always seizing a higher position with greater pay and perks, because I made sure that was my first priority.  It meant long hours and travel, but with my blackberry and cell phone I was with my family when it mattered, and with work always.

I remember greeting the guests at my third wedding, making mental notes on how much each person had spent on my gift.  We arranged the seating so that the people of similar position were closest to me and the reception could serve its purpose as a networking function.  At that time I had not yet made it into the Forbes 400, which was the goal that I held above all others.

But looking back, it seems my life held nothing of true value.  I should have spent more time with my family and friends and treated them better.  I should have known that I had far more than a person should want and used my wealth to do good.  Now that I have a second chance as one of the Poet Babies, I will teach people to live a life of real worth.

Poem Flash - Rhyming Bits of Light From Jack

Saving Paris Hilton

Paris! Dear Paris! Your city is burning
From the boredom and excess your money is churning

We’re here to help with the truth of babes,
With buckets of milk to douse all your raves

The stars always shine on a Santa with sack
Think of Bill Gates, of Buffet, of Shaq!

You’ll find true joy and a new way to live
By learning that wealth is your opportunity to give

Eating A Good Life

The guy to your right thinks he’s the bomb
because he only eats filet mignon

While the chick on your left thinks she’s hot
because only leftovers come from her pots

But you savor life’s spices whether costly or cheap
You taste the chili, you don’t count the beans!

Can you help them become the salt of the earth?
Teach them we are more than our net worth!

Charity Is The New Black

We all wag our fingers at the greedy executives
Who sit without shame on gold plated toilet lids

But what of ourselves when shopping’s news, sport and play?
We covet our things while hunger persists day to day

So whether rich in money or time or compassion
Let’s make daily charity the highest of fashion

Because bighearted modesty is the best way to live
Act as though wealth is your opportunity to give
